We are a wedding and event venue - no two days are the same.

A gardener with a passion for plants
A groundsman who loves parkland and woodland
A DIY all-rounder, who can paint and fix things
Passion for caring for this historical place
A mechanic who can fix forestry and grounds equipment

Garden and Grounds Volunteers
Are you on the look out for a meaningful way to spend your spare time or wanting to escape into nature or looking for some early experience to boost your CV or your University application? Or do you just have a passion for gardening or History? Come help at Hedingham Castle, with a beautiful Estate and incredible Norman Keep, and make a difference to this historic landscape and garden.
Shifts can be flexible to your schedule and there are no minimum hour requirements.
You must enjoy working in an outdoor situation and enjoy the physical benefits of staying active outdoors.

Historian Volunteers
Do you love history? Are you passionate about sharing your knowledge with others? Do you enjoy educating school children about their local history?
We are looking for Historian Volunteers to join our team! Our Historian Volunteers are essential for sharing our rich history with visitors and school groups. We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly individuals to be involved in education workshops for our school visits and history tours on general open days and on some event days.
What we’re looking for:
Individuals with a passion for history
Confident talking to groups, both adults and children
Able to climb stairs - due to the nature of the building, there are a lot of stairs inside the castle, as well as some mild hills involved when giving tours
Knowledge about Hedingham Castle’s history is not essential, as training will be provided.
