THE CASTLE BOTHY

NEW!

Get back to nature with a stay in our enchanting and newly restored shepherd’s hut for two

Tucked away in the idyllic walled garden of Hedingham Castle, The Castle Bothy is a beautifully renovated shepherd’s hut offering the perfect blend of country charm and modern comfort. Surrounded by the rich heritage of the Norman estate, which was founded by the Earls of Oxford in the 12th century, this private retreat provides an unforgettable escape in a tranquil pocket of the castle grounds.

Unwind in the wood-fired hot tub under the stars and cosy up around the crackling fire pit on your private terrace. Inside, the cabin boasts a super comfy superking bed, courtesy of And So To Bed, dressed in soft linens, a small but perfectly formed kitchen, shower room, and a wood burner to keep you toasty in the evenings.

Whether you’re sipping coffee in the morning sun or soaking in the peaceful ambience of this historic estate, The Castle Bothy offers an idyllic getaway for couples seeking romance and relaxation with a touch of history. Set in the picturesque village of Castle Hedingham and within walking distance to a small village shop, two pubs and a cafe. If you are staying with us on a date that the estate is open to the public, you may explore the iconic Norman Keep free of charge.
