PHOTO, FILM & TV LOCATION
Hedingham Castle has been used over many years for feature films and television productions as well as photo shoots.
Its combination of the Norman Keep and 18th century Queen Anne Georgian House, ancient defensive landscape, glorious gardens and hillside woods make it an atmospheric and versatile location.
It has the distinct advantage that the exteriors of the buildings match the interiors.
As well as the grand rooms, majestic halls, secret doors and cosy crannies, there is much to offer the production office with high speed wireless network, make up rooms, 3 phase power and hard standing for a unit base.

For most items, as long as it isn’t damaged in the process and returned to its original place after filming, then yes absolutely. There may be a few items, especially in the house, that will need to be approved by the owners and movement be personally overseen by them.
-
The castle is protected by its Ancient Scheduled Monument status, meaning that the building cannot be physically altered in any way. This does mean no drilling/nails in the walls. However, there are other methods of hanging things and we will always try our best to help you. At the end of the day however, it is our very special privilege and job to protect this building for the future generations.
