Open-air Theatre: The Jungle Book

  • Hedingham Castle Bayley Street Halstead, England, CO9 3DJ United Kingdom (map)

Join Chameleon's Web Theatre Company for their summer outdoor show - Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book, adapted by Neil Duffield.

Mowgli the wolf cub boy and his friends, Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther, transport us to the jungle in a story that has remained a favourite for generations.

Can Mowgli discover the secret of Man's red flower? Can he fight off the terrifying tiger, Shere Khan? Will he be able to overcome the many dangers of the jungle and live there happily, or will he leave his wild friends and join the humans in the village?

Faithful to Kipling's original beloved story, this beautifully staged adaptation has proved to be a hit with theatre both in the UK and abroad.

Bring a blanket or camping chair and enjoy an afternoon of fabulous theatre in the magical grounds of Hedingham Castle. The tearoom inside the castle will be open serving hot and cold drinks and cakes. Picnics welcome. Free onsite parking.

Gates open: 3pm
Performance starts: 4pm
Performance time: Approximately 90 mins plus a 20 minute interval.
