Coda Falconry will be presenting two flying displays, at 11.30am and 2pm, with a chance to meet the birds in between. The Castle will be open, with tours available.
The Medieval Siege Society returns to Hedingham with the most engrossing and authentic living history camp around, with live demonstrations of archery, siege engines, gunnery and serious fighting! In amongst the bustle of the camp – a unique view of life in the high medieval period – you’ll be able to try your hand at archery and watch fascinating displays by Coda Falconry and their thrilling birds of prey. Maypole dancing and donkey rides! Jesters and Grave-Diggers! Food outlets and bar! The Keep will be open to explore, and packed with living historians, with guided tours available – come early and enjoy a full day, packed with spectacle and fun!
Now in its 6th year at Hedingham, and livelier than ever, A Vintage Affair returns! Over 60 stalls and a foot tapping Big Band playing live throughout the day, Rockabilly Singers, Lindy Hoppers, hair styling and a host of classic cars, it’s a triumph of style and glamour, all set on the magical lawns in front of the Castle!
The ever exciting and popular Knights of Royal England return to Hedingham to recreate the classic Tourney in front of the Castle, an awesome spectacle of chivalry, hand to hand combat, mounted challenges and dark deeds! Craft and food stalls surround the arena, with a host of additional entertainment! Flying displays from the amazing Coda Falconry! The Norfolk Longbow Men will demonstrate the art of archery – have a go! Our Official Jester will cause his usual mayhem! The Gravediggers will be prowling! Musicians, Donkey Rides, a Maypole and a Coconut shy provide constant entertainment throughout the day! Something for all the family in a great day out!

This energetic show featured all the usual Wildean wit, plus a few Pantaloony surprises including singing butlers, travel by means of musical montage and interactive gameshow ‘The Bracknell Factor’.
When Jim Hawkins discovers a treasure map amongst the possessions of the late ‘Captain’ Billy Bones, it hurtles him into a cat and mouse game with dangerous pirates and takes him across the world to Treasure Island. Will Jim find the treasure? Will he make it back to England? And should he trust the mysterious ship’s cook, Long John Silver? With inventive staging, original songs and magical storytelling, we invite audiences to enjoy this classic tale of adventure, treasure, and, of course, rum, in Boxtree Production’s unique and energetic way!

The Knights of Destrier return! Jousting in custom-made suits of solid steel armour they clash in one of the most exciting and authentic Tournaments in England! With skill at arms demonstrations, a commentary on how the Knights prepare and arm themselves and the Jousting contest in the afternoon, this is a thrilling day out for all the family! Other highlights include two displays from Coda Falconry, have a go archery with the Norfolk Longbowmen, the Jester, the roving Gravediggers, Musicians, Maypole dancing and Donkey Rides! The Castle will be open and full of living historians, and there are food stalls galore and a fully stocked bar! It’s a fabulous day out!
