Come and join the brilliant Eden Falconry for a magical evening with Owls and Friends in the Castle.

Some of the owls are enjoying their summer break, so for one very special evening, we welcome a stunning array of birds of prey - including owls, hawks and kestrels! This will be the last candlelit birds of prey event until the Autumn.

Set in the atmospheric Banqueting Hall of the Castle, this immersive encounter offers a rare opportunity to witness these magnificent birds demonstrating their natural behaviours, including indoor flight displays that showcase their grace and power.

The evening begins with a warm welcome from our knowledgeable falconers, who will guide you throughout the experience. You'll then meet the feathered members of our flying team up close, including the impressive Great Horned Owl and Eurasian Owl, with the chance to handle some of the birds and learn about their habitats, hunting techniques, and unique personalities.

In the candlelit atmosphere of the historic Norman Keep, prepare for an unforgettable moment as a beautiful Barn Owl silently swoops to your gloved hand—an experience that truly captures the magic of the nocturnal world.

Please arrive at 6pm for a 6.30pm start. The evening will finish around 8.30pm.

Please note: this event takes place in the Castle’s Banqueting Hall, accessible only via staircase and therefore not suitable for wheelchair users.
