Imagine getting married in a wonderful old castle where
once the Earls of Oxford entertained King Henry VIII and
Queen Elizabeth I. The ceremony takes place by candle-light
in the magnificent Banqueting Hall where one hundred guests
can be seated and a further thirty may watch from the Minstrels’ Gallery
above. You can have a traditional modern ceremony or choose
a medieval theme with authentic costumes and strolling minstrels.
The beautiful grounds offer ideal opportunities for photographs.
The castle, which is now closed to the public on wedding
days, is privately owned by the Honourable Thomas Lindsay,
youngest son of the 28th Earl of Crawford and Balcarres,
and his wife Virginia. |
