The Norman Keep

Ceremonies take place on the candlelit banqueting hall of the Norman Keep, this is a fabulous room spanned by a remarkable 28 foot arch, one of the largest and most impressive arches in England. Up to 100 guests can be seated on the banqueting hall, while a further 30 guests can watch from the Minstrels gallery above.

Wedding Ceremony & Marquee Reception

The civil ceremony takes place by candlelight on the banqueting hall of the Castle. Reception drinks will be served in the elegant Georgian mansion house and on the lakeside terrace. You will then move through to the Tulip Lawn Marquee for your wedding breakfast and evening reception.

Combine these settings with the highest standards of food and service from our Chef and you can look forward to a truly memorable dining experience.

This fee includes the use of two bridal rooms for the bride and bridesmaids to use for changing, the candlelit Castle ceremony, the beautiful rooms in the Georgian mansion house and lakeside terrace for your drinks reception. The Tulip Lawn Marquee for your evening reception until midnight* is also included. The fee includes all linen, tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery & glass wear, all hospitality staff and your own personal wedding coordinator to plan all details of your wedding day.

The fees below include the use of two bridal rooms for the bride and bridesmaids to use for changing, the candlelit Castle ceremony, the beautiful hall in the Georgian mansion house and lakeside terrace for your drinks reception, and the Ashurst Room for your wedding breakfast. Also included is the use of all linen, tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery and glassware, all hospitality staff and your own personal wedding coordinator to plan all details of your wedding day. House receptions finish at 9.00pm

The Castle will not be available for ceremonies and receptions on Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays or during the Christmas holiday from December 23rd to January 2nd.

Wedding Accommodation

The Garden Cottage is an idyllic and secluded property located within the grounds of the Hedingham Castle estate. Perfect for your first night together as a married couple. We can also arrange for a bottle of Champagne to be delivered to the cottage as a gift to the happy couple, please call for further details.
