Hedingham Castle is an exciting and rewarding learning environment for children and students of all ages. Many schools come back each year and visits can be linked to Key Stages 1 to 4 of the National Curriculum. During the summer months we arrange Living History Presentations for school children to enjoy. If you would like to make a booking, please contact Mandy London at enquiries@handsonthepast.net or www.handsonthepast.net for more information. Our next History Presentation ( Schools week is planned for 11th – 15th June, 18th, 19th, 20th and 22nd June, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th October )

The castle is open for the season from Easter until the end of October from 10 - 5pm daily and schools are welcome all the year round by arrangement. We have a variety of brass rubbings which can be provided for school groups for an additional 50p per child. There is an excellent gift shop and a special pocket money section with items ranging from 30p upwards.

Hedingham Castle is ideally located on the North Essex / Suffolk border in the heart of East Anglia, only 60 miles from London.
