Saturday 25th Summer Viewing Day 10.00 to 3.00 Free admission

To celebrate this most romantic time of year we’re opening the Castle, House and Marquee for a special Summer Viewing Day to allow couples planning their wedding to look round our beautiful venue. No appointments are necessary, and our wedding coordinators will be on hand to answer questions and discuss all the options.

Sunday 26th The Pantaloons Theatre Company present Pride and Prejudice 6.00pm Adult £14, Over 65 £12.50, Under 18 £10, Under 5 £0, Family £42

Will Mrs Bennet manage to offload her numerous daughters in record time? Will Lizzy and Darcy actually get together? Will creepy Mr Collins please just go away? The literary classic gets the Pantaloons treatment in this hilarious and innovative new adaptation. Performances take place outside on the grass in front of the Castle, and will go ahead in all but the most inclement conditions. Please bring a blanket or low camping style chairs to sit on. Light refreshments will be available, but do bring a picnic if you like. The performance will last approximately 2 hours, with an interval, and is suitable for all ages, though perhaps not very young children. Admission is from 5, but if you would like to come earlier, a ticket for the production will admit you to the Castle & Grounds throughout the day.

Racing against the clock, Phileas Fogg and his valet Passepartout travel round the world by any means necessary to see if they can make it back to London in 80 days! Will they do it and win their bet? Will the misguided Detective Fix arrest them? Has Passepartout left the gas on? All these questions will be answered in this exciting musical adventure which the whole family will enjoy! Performances take place outside on the grass in front of the Castle, and will go ahead in all but the most inclement conditions. Please bring blankets or low chairs to sit on. Join Mole as he abandons his spring cleaning for the riverbank, and stumbles into an adventure with Mr Toad and friends. In this hilarious adaptation, let us take you on a journey to see the Wild Woods, experience mishaps with motorcars, battles with weasels and some simple messing about in boats. Performances take place outside on the grass in front of the Castle, and will go ahead in all but the most inclement conditions. Please bring blankets or low camping style chairs to sit on. A great day out in the company of some interesting, beautiful and strange vehicles – and their owners! And if you have a classic of your own bring it along for free admission, but please pre-register! We are delighted to announce that Bonhams Auctioneers will have a stand at this event where they will be offering free valuations on items of automobilia including motoring art, motoring literature, mascots, signs and F1 memorabilia. We’ll have food vendors and the Castle Bar, the Keep will be open and there are some wonderful walks in the grounds.

Sunday 30th and Monday 31st Jousting with The Knights of Middle England! 10.00 to 5.00 Adult £14, Over 65 £12.50, Under 18 £10, Under 5 £0, Family £42

Great news! They’re back! The astounding Knights of Middle England! Bold and bright costumes accompanied by stunts such as saddle falls, drags and rearing horses make this a show to remember! The evil Black Knight and his trusty fool cause havoc against the Earl of Warwick and his team of chivalrous Knights! Surrounding it all will be a bustling arena full of craft stalls, a range of food and a host of entertainment! The Norfolk Longbowmen will be demonstrating the art of Archery – have a go! Get close to the Birds of Prey and watch a thrilling flying display! Our Official Jester, Jonathan de Hadleigh, will cause his usual mayhem with his Wife! Musicians, Donkey Rides, a Maypole, Coconut Shies and Face Painting provide constant entertainment throughout the day! Something for all the family in a great day out!

This year sees the 60th anniversary of the very first production 356 Carreras and to mark this significant date The Carrera Parade at Hedingham will highlight some of these early rare cars including: the Fletcher Aviation 550 Spyder, 356 Carrera GS & GT, 904 GTS, the Carrera RS; AG production models badged as Carrera

Hedingham Castle is the most romantic place for a wedding. The Banqueting Hall, shimmering with candlelight for an unforgettable ceremony, photographs on the Tudor Bridge and your reception in the hall of the Mansion House overlooking the formal gardens and the lake combine to create a truly magical setting.
