Hedingham is pleased to welcome, for the first time, the astounding Knights of Middle England! Bold and bright costumes accompanied with stunts such as saddle falls, drags and rearing horses make this a show to remember! The evil Black Knight and his trusty fool cause havoc against the Earl of Warwick and his team of chivalrous Knights! Surrounding it all will be a bustling arena full of craft stalls, a range of food and a host of entertainment! The Norfolk Longbowmen will be demonstrating the art of Archery – have a go! Lavenham Falconry will be displaying their Birds of Prey! Our Official Jester, Jonathan de Hadleigh, will cause his usual mayhem! Musicians, Donkey Rides, a Maypole, Coconut Shies and Face Painting provide constant entertainment throughout the day! Something for all the family in a great day out!
No dogs are allowed at this event because the birds of prey may attack them.
A great day out in the company of some interesting, beautiful and strange vehicles – and their owners! And if you have a classic of your own, bring it along for free admission! We’ll have food vendors and the Castle Bar, the keep will be open and there are some wonderful walks in the grounds.
On the evening of Saturday 6th September Hedingham hosts the now annual Porsche Classics Motorsport Dinner which acts as a curtain raiser to the Porsche Classics at the Castle event on Sunday 7th September.
This will be a very rare appearance by Richard Attwood, winner of the Le Mans 1970, and so something not to be missed by Porsche enthusiasts. There are a limited number of seats available.
Tickets for the dinner are available on a first come first served basis directly from Hedingham.
Individual tickets are priced at £90 including VAT and can be booked now by clicking the Buy Tickets button below, or call the castle on 01787 460261 during normal office hours.
For enquiries regarding corporate table bookings please call the Castle on 01787 460261.
The unique event for classic Porsches built 1948 – 1973
The 2014 event will once again feature the Parade formats which enable both the sight and sound of the cars on the move to be enjoyed at close quarters.
The event is an ideal day out for the whole family, children under 12 are admitted free and there is much to do apart from perusing the cars, exploring the castle and its grounds.
As ever we will present a world class display with significant examples of historic Porsche competition cars and outstanding examples of classic production cars – including several surprises as we move towards the 7th of September.
For full details of the event please go to the Classics at the Castle website.
If you are a Porsche owner and wish to take part in the event please visit the Classics at the Castle website.
If you are not exhibiting a Porsche and would like to buy tickets for the event please click on the Buy Tickets button below.
