10.30am – Dressing a Knight – Banqueting Hall

11:00am Learn about medieval Money- Banqueting Hall

11.30am – Gingerbread Demonstration- Keep Ground

12.30pm – Jester Training & Parade – Main Arena

1.30pm – Skill at Arms Training – Main Arena

2.30pm – Learn to dance with Jonathan de Hadleigh –Main Arena

3.30pm – Best Dressed Parade

5.00pm – Close

On special event days outside caterers provide a variety of refreshments. Ice creams, soft drinks and home-made cakes are served inside the keep.

  • Classic & Vintage Car Show – 6th June 10am – 4pm The Castle showcases some of the region’s Finest Classic Cars
    Come to Hedingham and take the chance to view some of the regions finest classic cars, a day not just for the car enthusiasts, offering the opportunity for a great family day out, take a leisurely stroll around the beautiful grounds, explore the mighty Norman keep and enjoy the opportunity to see a wide range of pre 1985 vehicles.

    To register your car to attend this event – please email Kathryn@hedinghamcastle.co.uk for a booking form. Pre-booked classic cars and driver are allowed free entry to this event and any passengers are charged at 50% of the advertised admission rates.
  • Squire & Princess Parade – 27th June 10am-5pm
    The Lord and the Company of Saint Joseph are again on tour around East Anglia, we are privileged that Hedinghams majestic Norman Keep will become a home from home for the whole medieval household. Come and meet Jonathan the court jester, and if you are lucky learn a few tricks. Learn how to be a squire in the service of a powerful lord or be a princess for the day. Who will be crowned the best dressed squire and princess? Fancy dress optional.
