The Lodge, dating back to the Tudor period is located at the entrance to the castle park. It is surrounded by its own private garden, providing comfortable, convenient and well-equipped accommodation. We can accommodate up to fourteen people as one property or as two independent houses for four and ten people, making it ideal for friends and family.
When hired as one house, the lodge is entered from the porch, this leads into the spacious drawing room which offers a television, video and DVD player and has ample seating around the inglenook fireplace. From this, the hall leads to the dining room and fully fitted kitchen which has a large fridge freezer, dishwasher, oven, gas hob, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. There is a downstairs twin bedroom with en-suite facilities and a further twin bedroom with an adjacent shower room. The staircases lead to an en-suite double bedroom, four twin bedrooms, and two bathrooms. As two houses there are separate entrances, kitchens, staircases and gardens. All rooms have cotton bed linen and towels are provided.
There is a large terrace with garden furniture and a barbeque.
This is the perfect location to gather family and friends together the night before your function and we would be happy to organise everything from pampering treats to home made meals.
The Lodge has ample parking and is located in the castle park with a 2 minute walk away from both the Castle and Village.
